About HONE

HONE, a family-owned business from Gippsland, is dedicated to bringing architectural Passive House homes to life. Managed by brothers Michael and Steve, with almost 20 years of experience in carpentry, business and a Master of Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building. We are growing and looking for an experienced Site Manager to bring our clients’ Passive House architectural homes to life.

About You

You have experience in all aspects of architectural residential carpentry, with a minimum of five years Site Management experience. You are excited by the opportunity to manage Passive House builds within Melbourne’s inner suburbs. You will work closely with the Director of Construction to ensure HONE’s quality standards and the satisfaction of the architect and client are exceeded.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Minimum five years Site Management experience on local architectural residential projects.
  • Qualified Carpenter.
  • Driver’s licence.
  • Own vehicle and tools.
  • White card.
  • First aid (desirable).
  • Passive House Certified Tradesperson (desirable).
    • Can provide training for the right candidate.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from start to finish:
    • Manage project team.
    • Coordinate trades.
    • Work on the tools, as required.
    • Assess the quality of workmanship and materials.
    • Ensure compliance with local building codes and health and safety regulations.
    • Competently and calmly resolve issues as they arise.
    • Ensure HONE Policies and Procedures are followed and updated as necessary.
    • Manage compliance with Site Resource (Waste) and Environmental Management Plans.
    • Maintain a clean site, free of hazards.
