The Role

Reporting to the Head of Food Operations, the role of Supply Chain Lead represents a unique opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to join a fast-growing startup. This is a hands-on role that involves oversight of our supply chain partners to ensure Kinela consistently provides an exceptional experience for our customers. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Customer Success team to understand the unique needs of our customers, optimise processes throughout our supply chain, engage with existing and new suppliers/vendors and ensure compliance procedures are followed.

This is a full-time role, but we are open to considering flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing weekly pick-pack process on-site to ensure accuracy
  • Closely managing delivery partners to ensure packages are delivered on schedule
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks for production
  • Recommending and implementing process adjustments to improve food quality and delivery experience
  • Troubleshooting and resolving production, packing and delivery issues alongside our Customer Success team
  • Inventory management
  • On-boarding new supply chain partners
  • Managing food safety and compliance requirements
  • Providing training to delivery drivers

About you

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant supply chain role
  • Passionate about solving problems and understanding the root cause of any issue
  • You love systems and processes. Process maps, flow charts and clear instructions are your thing
  • Self motivated and always taking the initiative rather than waiting for something to happen
  • Excellent communication skills. You are equally comfortable conversing with workers on the factory floor as with senior management
  • Excited about the opportunity to have a real impact on the lives of people living with disabilities
