The Role

Reporting to the Occupational Therapy Team leader, a Kinela Occupational Therapist is responsible for delivering high quality assessment and intervention to Kinela clients (both adults and paediatrics) in accordance with evidence-based practice and person-centred care, promoting occupational engagement and quality of life.

With flexible working arrangements (work from our beautiful office in the heart of Surry Hills, Sydney or from the comfort of your own home), the role will involve service delivery via online therapy, requiring high-level organisational and communication skills. The role has opportunities to work closely with other clinicians, and participate in exciting projects, personal growth and Continued Professional Development (CPD) activities.

About You

  • Ongoing commitment to enabling people with disabilities to meet their goals
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention
  • Minimum of three years working as an occupational therapist
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary setting
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail and demonstrate a passion for excellence
  • Ability to work independently under limited direction, prioritise workload and manage time effectively whilst completing tasks, maintaining records and providing reports
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with particular emphasis on interpersonal communication skills, establishing trust and rapport, maintaining confidentiality and record keeping
  • Strong sense of personal ownership of the required business outcomes and a clear bias for action
