The strategic, creative, self-starters in our People & Culture team are tasked with attracting, engaging and nurturing the socially-driven high performers who make up a team of over 200 people at Hireup HQ. Insights-led and data-driven, they collaborate with team leads across the organisation to ensure they have the best talent, processes and resources to keep pace with Hireup’s rapidly growing community of users. They are people-obsessed and passionate about stewarding a positive, innovative and collaborative culture, always keeping one step, roll or zoom ahead of Hireup’s hyper-growth.

With the continued growth of our HQ team, we have a brand new role available for a People Operations Assistant. In this role you you will build your knowledge and experience across the full employee lifecycle, gain incredible experience and mentoring from our passionate team, and become the go-to person at Hireup for all things 'people ops'.

Priorities - the work

  • Work on all things administrative and operational across the entire employee lifecycle for our People & Culture team
  • Be the go-to person for all of our key people systems and help us maximise the capability of those systems including Employment Hero, Culture Amp, JobAdder and KeyPay
  • Find opportunities for process improvement and actively share your ideas & implement changes that will support our team
  • Assist the People Associates with injury management and return to work plans for our employees
  • Play a key role in ensuring Hireup delivers on legislative Work Health and Safety requirements
  • Get into the data and uncover some great people insights that will allow us to create the most effective programs for our people

Skills - the person

  • No two days will be the same as we continue to grow so you'll need to be flexible and adaptable in your mindset - get ready to embrace change!
  • You'll be an all-rounder and a doer; you'll thrive on providing administrative support to a fast-paced team and can work on a range of different projects and tasks at the one time. This is the perfect role for someone who has a love for administration, whilst also wanting to build up broad generalist HR experience
  • Experience in, or a natural love for using a range of systems and databases for both operational and reporting purposes e.g. Employment Hero, JobAdder, Culture Amp, KeyPay etc.
  • An interest in and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation in Australia
  • Strong connection to or interest in building an understanding of the Australian disability sector and community
  • Approach work with high-energy, drive and internal motivation
  • Exhibit adaptability, resilience, transparency, trustworthiness, passion and innate curiosity
