Product at Hireup

At Hireup, we understand the important role technology, and specifically, digital product plays in connecting people. For our team, it’s not only about creating the most elegant, intuitive, accessible and powerful peer-to-peer platform in Australia, but to ensure we are building an efficient and lean model that maximises choice and control for both Australians living with disability and their support workers. The team is passionate about solving complex problems and love being able to see the direct impact these solutions have for the thousands of people in Hireup’s rapidly growing community.

The opportunity

In the space between the UI and the server, lies a complex engineering domain of state management, synchronisation, networking, performance optimisation and tooling — which we’re calling “front-end application architecture”. You will help our team of engineers tame this wild landscape and enable them to create robust, performant, scalable, and accessible front-end systems which brings us ever closer to achieving our purpose — building a more inclusive, connected community.

Your main focus will be leading the long-term technical direction of Hireup’s front-end application architecture, complimenting work done by the platform engineers on the server side, and the UX Engineering Architect and front-end engineers on the UI — as well as supporting development and building skills within the team.
