Help Training Institute (HTI) operates as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to provide high quality, flexible and hands-on training across a variety of fields to people with disabilities, disadvantaged job seekers as well as corporate clients. Training services is responsible for ensuring that training is delivered in line with ASQA, training package and Help Enterprises standards.

Due to growth, a new opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join our RTO on a full time permanent basis. This position will be based in Brisbane, but the successful applicant must be willing to travel as needed. In this role you will provide information, advice and guidance to help customers make realistic choices about their education, training and work. The role will support a “job ready” pathway for the customer by helping to identify options for suitable jobs.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contacting prospective students and clients, explaining courses and programs offered, and quoting fees
  • Tailoring offerings to suit clientele and managing expectations and continuous improvement
  • Build the profile of Help Employment and Training in the local and wider business community
  • Develop networks and grow relationships with schools, local communities, the business sector, Indigenous and professional organisations
  • Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or Marketing (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a BDM in the RTO industry or similar role
  • Experience and understanding of State and Federal funding models in the Vocational Sector, SQW programs, and school Vocational programs
  • Demonstrated understanding with DESBT and ASQA marketing compliance
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills
  • Demonstrated ability working towards targets and KPIs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The successful applicant must be willing to travel as needed
