Help Employment & Training is a division of HELP, assisting participants to obtain employment related skills and secure sustainable employment. It comprises Job Service Australia, Disability Employment Services (DES) as well as Mental Health Integrated Employment Programs.

We are seeking an Activities Administrator to join our Inner Somerset (Brisbane Inner North) team on a full time basis. In this role you will provide support to jobseekers and other stakeholders, to facilitate the smooth implementation and management of jobactive Work for the Dole activities. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure Service Agreements are signed and records are appropriately maintained
  • Work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance with administrative processes
  • Facilitate group Annual Activity Requirement (AAR) information sessions for jobseekers across all sites within Inner Somerset
  • Ensure caseload remains on target to meet AAR

Skills, Experience and other Requirements for this role:

  • Tertiary qualification – Certificate IV in Employment Services or similar highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative within workplace routines
  • High level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to support jobseekers and meet their specific needs
  • Good written communication skills to enable the preparation of reports and other documentation and communications 
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate Government Contracts, Policies and Operational Guidelines
  • High level administration skills with high attention to detail 
  • Prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines and objectives
  • Current unrestricted Drivers Licence & own reliable transport
  • Willingness to travel and work across various locations as required
