About this opportunity

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, the Fundraising Specialist is a key role in our fundraising team, responsible for creating meaningful long-term relationships with donors to inspire and grow philanthropic support from individuals through the mid-level giving and bequest programs!

Working with current and prospective donors, this role will develop fundraising initiatives to drive supporter engagement to increase fundraising revenue, improve retention and strengthen loyalty.

As well as this, you’ll have a direct report in the form of the Donor Support Officer and provide support, mentoring and knowledge to help them succeed in their role! About you

You’re a natural collaborator with a drive to help others and carve out a fulfilling career in the NFP space. You’re an experienced fundraiser, but at heart, you’re connected to the relationships you build and the impact you’re able to make in people’s lives through them.

Maybe you’ve been working in the NFP space for a while and you’re looking for a change, or maybe you’re set on stepping up into a role with more responsibility and the chance to mentor a direct report!

We’d love you to bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar fundraising, supporter relations or relationship-focused role
  • experience and passion for cultivating and nurturing long-term relationships
  • excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
  • an analytical approach, experience using a CRM and, comfort working with data
  • proven experience in setting and achieving revenue targets
  • knowledge of the Australian giving environment and a commitment to best practice in donor care
  • high ethical standards of behaviour, good judgment, respect for others, confidentiality and attention to detail
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent organisational and time management skills.

You might also have tertiary qualifications or equivalent in business development, communications, fundraising or another relevant subject area!
