Hearth is a registered NDIS and TAC disability support services provider. Our pledge as an organisation is to be a driving force in changing the sector to improve the lives of people with a disability.
Hearth strives to create an environment that nurtures, supports, and engages with participants and support workers to provide the highest standard of care. We achieve this through fostering and cultivating long-term, sustainable relationships. We operate in the inner east, outer east, and bayside suburbs of Melbourne.
We are looking for experienced, reliable, committed, compassionate, and empathetic Support Workers who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.
More specifically, the role may involve social support, transportation to medical appointments, recreational activities, and supporting participants with complex needs. It could also involve personal care, light domestic duties, meal preparation, and the use of aids or equipment such as walking frames, wheelchairs, and hoists.
Although experience is highly valued, Hearth Support Services does not hire exclusively based on qualification; we factor in your personal values and your ability to adapt, learn, communicate, and build relationships.
Prior to commencing at Hearth Support Services, we strongly recommended that you have a current Australian drivers' licence and a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle to enable sustainable employment.
In addition, you will also need:
Your National Police Check, Working with Children’s check, and First Aid training will all be organised and paid for by Hearth upon commencement of employment
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
If you have any questions regarding a career as a Support Worker, email email@example.com using the subject line: Disability Support Worker enquiry via EthicalJobs, with a copy of your resume and a cover letter.
Successful employees will be required to have an up-to-date Working with Children Check, Police Check, Disability Exclusion Scheme Check, and a First Aid Certificate prior to commencement, funded by Hearth.
Please indicate in your cover letter if you already hold any of these documents. All applicants must have a relevant visa or working rights in Australia.
