Healthy Mind Solutions (HMS) is a multidisciplinary practice newly established and based in Shepparton, Victoria. Our focus is on providing a comprehensive healthcare service to patients of all ages who are suffering from mental illness and indicated disorders and conditions.
We’re building a team that includes a range of allied health clinicians, plus psychiatrists and nurses. We collaborate and focus on quality service, ensuring our patients have access to a wide range of complementary services from the one location, and are provided with streamlined treatment, convenience and comfort.
Our clinical director is a highly regarded and experienced psychiatrist, dedicated to using technologically advanced and evidence-based treatments to achieve improved clinical outcomes for all patients.
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic occupational therapist to join the team!
The role provides lots of flexibility for the right person, including part-time and full-time options, a blend of onsite and community appointments, and telehealth consultations where clinically appropriate.
You’ll join a practice with a truly patient-centred and solution focused model of care; treating all patients with dignity and respect, and involving them in all decisions about their health.
Your responsibilities will include functional, AT and home modification assessments, plus clinical, sensory and mental health assessments. You’ll also provide and monitor functional skill development programs and therapeutic interventions, tailored to your clients’ self-care and occupational performance needs, and utilising objective assessment outcome measures. You’ll be well supported to provide high quality and efficient service and care, and to extend your skills, experience and knowledge.
Plus, at Healthy Mind Solutions it truly is a team approach. We collaborate, support one another, and strive to provide excellent service to all patients, and stakeholders. We‘re passionate and dedicated, and you’ll have the opportunity to work, live and provide invaluable support to people in this wonderful regional community. Additionally, you’ll have lots of opportunity for personal and professional rewards and satisfaction.
To launch successfully into this role, you’ll ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ OT experience, including work in the Community. A post-graduate mental health qualification is not essential but would be highly regarded. Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance are a must, as are a current driver’s licence and your own transport.
You’re a team player, working well with both clinical and admin colleagues, and possess great time management skills to ensure all clinical and documentation aspects of your role are delivered in a timely manner.
Proficiency in the Office/Office 365 suite will also stand you in good stead, as will experience with medical software packages used in private practice.
We’re passionate about supporting our team members’ professional and personal growth. As such, you need a willingness and drive to learn and grow, plus contribute your knowledge and skills to the rest of the team.
Your excellent communication skills, empathy and responsiveness, combined with professionalism, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and successfully organise your time, will make you an invaluable member of our team.
