Practice information:

The Superclinic Group are private billing medical centres with reduced fees for certain groups and AGPAL accredited. The patient base covers the full range of demographics with a high proportion of financially independent clients. The practice will offer many services to their patients including skin cancer assessments, minor procedures, suturing, cryotherapy, shared prenatal care, sports medicine, cosmetics and tropical medicine. We also provide cover for GP emergencies including trauma, fractures, acute infections and mental health services.

This practice provides a 7 day service with clinic operation being 8am to 5pm on weekdays and 8am to 2pm on weekends.

We have a multi-disciplinary team on our sites with pharmacy, physio, psychologists, pathology, audiology, podiatry and many more who take an active role in the chronic care management. The level of equipment is well above average with operating tables, theatre lights, Ultrasound machines, PRP systems, Dopplers for PVD, INR machines, LED lights and other high-level treatment options.

After Hours requirements:

We do provide an afterhours house call service that operates and participation in this service is usually performed by the doctors that choose to do so for the financial and personal rewards. Doctors may be requested to assist if the afterhours services are short staffed during holidays or for illness although this is short term only.

Candidate profile:

We are seeking an experienced GP to join the innovative Mackay Superclinic team as the Medical Director. This is a full-time position to lead the medical teams across the 5 Mackay practices providing professional leadership, quality control and guidance to the doctors and staff. Supervision and teaching of registrars and junior doctors is also an important role in the position.

An attractive remuneration package is offered receiving a high percentage of billings to compensate for non-fee generating work. This extra percentage is to cover the hours of administrative and teaching roles that would amount to less than 1/2 a day per week. Generated incomes are well above average GP practices due to the high-level services that are provided in the group and the systems and staff support that assist completion of high value services.

This is a permanent, full time position working across our innovative and high-quality facilities and keen to participate in improving the efficient chronic care systems, the high-level professional services and maintaining the top-quality facilities.
