Development Coordinator - Alcohol or Other Drug Consumer and Community Coalition

Health Consumers' Council

Background

The purpose of this position is to further establish and progress the Alcohol or Other Drug Consumer and Community Coalition (AODCCC) as a Peak body within the AOD sector, and provide the AOD lived experience voice in policy and service planning and evaluation. This is a fixed-term position to undertake the deliverables in the current Mental Health Commission (MHC) Grant Agreement that the AODCCC currently has.

The role will range from developing the AODCCC’s governance policies and processes, handling the funding streams or budgetary matters, supporting and increasing AODCCC membership, fostering partnerships with the community, NGOs or governments bodies, and working towards the vision, mission and values of the AODCCC. The role is multidimensional, where the Development Coordinator will be an advocate for the lived experience voice, working in partnerships of solidarity with mainstream and minority communities across society. The AODCCC aims to foster courageous conversations in the community and the Development Coordinator will be a public face initiating those conversations.

Applicants for the AODCCC Development Officer need not apply for this role.
