Role Overview

An exciting opportunity is now available for a passionate and driven Team Leader to join our NDIS Therapy Team. This role will be offered on a full time 12 month fixed term contract. Initially the role will be based at our Guildford head office with a view for relocation closer to the Perth CBD early 2020.

The primary focus of the role of the Therapy Team Leader is to provide clinical leadership to the Therapy Team to ensure services we provide to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Participants and their key stakeholders are aligned with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

Essential Minimum Selection Criteria

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in the disability sector
  • Tertiary qualification of an allied health professional
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and requirements of NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
  • Strong understanding of positive behaviour support framework along with NDIS and state reporting requirements
  • Demonstrates ability to analyse, evaluate and assess risks for participants, key stakeholders and clinicians
  • High level of written communication skills particularly in the development of quality mental health care plans, case notes and report writing
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and individually with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrates ability to build team’s capacity and professional development
  • Demonstrates ability to navigate team relationships and conduct necessary actions
  • Demonstrates experience in and understanding the principles of confidentiality, particularly in relation to the handling of participant’s information
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to formulate and utilise outcome measurement tools
  • Sound computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft office software/windows operating systems
  • Current driving licence, business vehicle insurance, and ability to travel throughout the region including overnight stays
  • National Police Check dated within 6 months or willingness to obtain & Current WWCC

  • Demonstrated strong experience in positive behaviour support in the disability & mental health sector

  • Experience in changing of database system
  • Experiences in working with a diverse range of cultures and individuals
  • A member of a professional organisation
  • A member of sector related community of practice or working group
