Role Overview

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Psychologist to join our NDIS Therapy Team. This role will be offered on a permanent full-time basis and will be based from our Guildford head office - with a view for relocation closer to the Perth CBD in the new year.

This is a dynamic role that works in collaboration with other allied health clinicians in the NDIS Therapy Services Team (psychologist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, exercise physiologist, dietitian, nurses etc.)

The primary focus of the role of Psychologist is to assist in the implementation of a responsive psychological and behaviour support services that provides support to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Participants and their key stakeholders. This includes individualised counselling, psychological therapeutic interventions and positive behaviour support.

Essential Minimum Selection Criteria

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology and AHPRA registration (Provisional Psychologist will be considered if they have supervisors in place)
• Demonstrated experience in providing psychological counselling / interventions to individuals and groups
• High level of written communication skills particularly in the development of quality mental health care plans, case notes and report writing
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and individually with minimum supervision
• Demonstrated experience in and understanding the principles of confidentiality, particularly in relation to the handling of participant’s information
• Understanding of the NDIA and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
• Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support
• Experience in working in the disability sector
• Demonstrated understanding and ability to formulate and utilise outcome measurement tools
• Sound computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft office software and windows operating systems together with skills in use of Mastercare or equivalent or a willingness to learn
• Current driving licence, business vehicle insurance, and ability to travel throughout the region including overnight stays
• National Police Check dated within 6 months or willingness to obtain
• Working with Children Check

Desirable Attributes

• Clinical Psychologist endorsement highly advantageous
• Experience with Mastercare
• Experiences in working with a diverse range of cultures and individuals.
