Headstart Acquired Brain Injury Services supports people with an Acquired Brain Injury to increase their community involvement and life skills and to engage more with the general community. We provide supports for people to pursue leisure or social interests and increase their opportunities to maximise independent living in the home and community.
Being a self motivated person who enjoys the challenge of a stimulating work environment the Finance Officer role offers you the opportunity to be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and processes whilst assisting with more varied financial and administrative activities.
Relishing the opportunity, you would be responsible for ensuring all the financial accounts, service delivery and acquittal processes are performed in accordance with accounting standards and deadlines whilst providing information to the management team.
In addition to your (preferred) formal qualification in Bookkeeping/Accounting, Business or Administration and high proficiency (essential) in Microsoft Excel, you have strong finance experience. Whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and excellent communication skills, your experience includes general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, taxation principles, financial/accounting standards, audits, complex reconciliations, database management, integrated Human Resource systems and general administration.
Possessing a NSW driver’s license and willingness to obtain a cleared NDIS Worker Screening check, cleared Working With Children Check and a Provide First Aid certificate, you would ideally (not essential) have an understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and working knowledge of NDIS Portal procedures.
Hours: 38 hours per week.
Term: 2 year fixed contract with the possibility of permanency based on performance
