Tell me about the role

The IPS (Individual Placement and Support) program integrates employment and vocational support with clinical mental health and non-vocational support and focuses on the individual needs of people with mental illness who are seeking to enter or remain in education or employment.

This is a senior leadership position that provides an overarching process of managing all headspace centres delivering the IPS program with the intention of improving the performance and outcomes for IPS participants.

This position will manage a small team and is expected to build the headspace culture and engagement through effective leadership at both the team and individual level.

What we're looking for

We are seeking an extremely experienced and skilled professional to manage a highly complex set of relationships that will include ongoing stakeholder management to facilitate and direct a diverse set of groups. The relationships are complex and you will need excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, interpersonal, communication and organisational capabilities to succeed.

You have:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high level stakeholder interests to ensure the best outcomes for headspace centre based IPS services.
  • Able to manage risk, problem solve and negotiate successful outcomes in challenging circumstances.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experience in building and overseeing service improvement activities across medium to large scale programs.
  • Experiencing in delivering Government Contracts, reporting processes and demonstrating the achievement of KPI's.
  • Strategic thinking with capacity to operate in a flexible and rapidly changing environment.

To be eligible for this position you must

  • Have the right to live and work in Australia.
  • Have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent, and/or pass all of the WWCC(s) required for this role (please note that for some roles, headspace requires WWCCs for other State/Territories in addition to your Home State).
  • Satisfactorily undergo a headspace Police Check.
  • Have proof of a Covid-19 vaccination in accordance with the headspace COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy and any Government directives.
