Tell me about the role:

The eheadspace Family and Friends (FAF) Senior Service Development role will contribute to the development of the FAF service within eheadspace. Offered as a six (6) month contract (0.8 FTE), the role is a locum service development role and involves leading the development of the service model and funding proposal as well as managing the FAF group chat and other tasks as needed.

Additionally, the role provides leadership, training and clinical consultation to the wider eheadspace team as well as HS3 and HS4 clinicians that are working within the Family and Friends (FAF) roster lines.

Who are we looking for?

The successful incumbent has an approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology (clinical, counselling, and 4+2 or 5+1 pathway), mental health nursing, and occupational therapy, with eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body.

You will be operating at an advanced level with respect to clinical skills in youth mental health in addition to having developed a broad understanding of the mental health system in Australia. Previous roles will have seen you work in the ‘family’ sphere, whereby you have grown and can demonstrate your knowledge of developmental, mental health, mental illness and behavioural issues relevant to adults in a caring role with adolescents.

Critical to your success in the role is your ability to lead the development, maintenance and evaluation of a professional and flexible clinical service model with particular focus on the FAF stream, under pinned by your demonstrable experience in project and /or service development.

You bring to the role highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to interact with a diverse range of people, including, young people, health professionals, academic researchers and service providers. You thrive in a dynamic, highly productive environment with time pressures, whilst managing multiple tasks
