What is headspace National?

About the role

The headspace Family and Friends National Reference Group is made up of a diverse group of people with lived experience of supporting a young person experiencing mental health challenges.

This role involves offers the opportunity to:

  • Participate in monthly Family and Friends Reference Group meetings.
  • Provide a voice to increase engagement of families and communities and improve their experience at headspace.
  • Help shape headspace National policy and campaigns.
  • Provide feedback on family and friends-related resources.
  • Participate in a range of other projects and working groups.

This is a casual position and you will be paid for participation in activities such as meetings and events. The time commitment can vary between 3 - 15 hours a month depending on choice and preferences for participation.

Who we're looking for

We would love you to apply if you:

  • Have (or had) a supportive role caring for a young person between 12-25 who has experienced mental health challenges and accessed headspace or other youth mental health services.
  • Are passionate about youth mental health and wellbeing and the role of family and friends
