Tell me about the role

The eheadspace Clinical Coordinator is responsible for operational, line management and clinical supervision within the eheadspace service. The incumbent contributes to the development and maintenance of the clinical direction of eheadspace while maintaining responsibility for the coordination, management and clinical oversight of shift activities.

Working as part of the eheadspace leadership team, the Clinical Coordinator works closely with the 3 other Clinical Coordinators and reports to eheadspace Clinical Services Manager to ensure eheadspace activities are in accordance with the contract and the direction provided by the Head of eheadspace. Additionally, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of clinical practices, resources and operational procedures, along with leading change initiatives, and works to foster a responsive and respectful workplace culture that integrates the headspace values.

The role is offered on a part time (0.7 FTE capacity) on a rotating fortnightly shift roster:

Week 1

Monday 9am – 5pm
Wednesday - 10am - 6pm
Friday – 9am – 5pm

Week 2

Monday 9am – 5pm
Wednesday - 10am- 6pm
Friday – 12 – 8pm
Sunday 12 – 8pm

Who are we looking for?

The successful incumbent has an approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology (clinical, counselling, and 4+2 or 5+1 pathway), mental health nursing, and occupational therapy, with eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body.

You will be operating at an advanced level with respect to clinical skills in youth mental health in addition to having developed a broad understanding of the mental health system in Australia, including the range of professionals that work within, or come into contact with the mental health sector.

Critical to your success in the role is your experience in both a clinical supervision and leadership capacity in addition to previous experience in an operational leadership role with respect to performance management and supporting clinical staff and their professional development.

You bring to the role highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to interact with a diverse range of people, including, young people, health professionals, academic researchers and service providers. You thrive in a dynamic, highly productive environment with time pressures, whilst managing multiple tasks
