Established in 2006, headspace is a well-recognised, national not-for-profit organisation making a difference to the lives of young people aged 12-25 years. headspace enables young people and their families to access information and support through a national network of centres and services and drives community awareness and education about youth mental health, early intervention and help seeking.
headspace is looking for a Data Systems Lead to lead the continuous development, enhancements, and governance of the headspace data lake platform, including data quality and security controls. The role will engage with key stakeholders to identify, build and deploy data solutions to support analytical and reporting solutions.
Reporting to the Manager-Data and Reporting, the role is responsible for maintaining and improving data governance and the data extraction framework, addressing stakeholder data requests, gathering and defining data requirements, building data models and data acquisitions. Working within a dynamic group of mental health professionals, the role will lead and support the successful implantation of the data and analytics projects within the agreed scope, timeframe and budget.
Our ideal candidate will have related industry experience, strong knowledge and understanding of data architecture and methodologies and the ability to translate abstract information into high quality data requirements. Top candidates will also have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline will be all too familiar with tools such as SQL/T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS and Python. Hands on experience in administering and building end to end data acquisitions, data models and data frameworks in reporting and analytical projects is required. Whilst not essential to the role, a working knowledge of Scrum and Software Development Methodologies and Google and/or Azure Analytics will be highly regarded.
