Tell me about the role…

The Data Systems Engineer role is located within the Digital and Technology Services Division at headspace National, and will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the continuous development and enhancements of headspace data lake platform including data quality and security controls and to support data solutions to facilitate analytical and reporting solutions.

Key deliverables of this role will be:

  • Manage, administer, and enhance data lake platform ensuring data quality, integrity and security controls.
  • Develop and maintain key metrics on data lake performance.
  • Develop/Maintain solution designs, physical and logical data models and associated data acquisition processes.

What we're looking for

headspace is seeking the following criteria:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline and/or related industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of data architecture and methodologies (Data Lake, Data Vault, Data Mart etc.)
  • 5+ years of hands on experience in administering and building end-to-end data acquisitions (ETL's), data models, and data frameworks in reporting and analytical projects.
  • 5+ years of hands on experience using SQL/T-SQL, SSIS or similar tools.
  • The ability to translate abstract information into high quality data requirements.
  • Strong alignment with the values of the organisation
