ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Aged Care Assessor role includes duties relating to conducting on-site assessments, writing, and reviewing assessment reports, and providing technical and professional development support to assessors. The Aged Care Assessor will complete on-site assessments for the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships in line with the values and culture of HDAA.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Demonstrated ability of professional report writing of a high standard.
  • Competency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Advanced communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to critically analyse and synthesise information.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to balance priorities to meet defined timeframes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social science, public health, allied health, or business.
  • Be willing to travel throughout Australia to complete assessments as required (including intrastate and interstate).
  • Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza.
  • Maintain a current driver’s licence and a satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check.
  • Abide by the required Code of Conduct and, where relevant, Code of Ethics.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Lead Auditor qualifications
  • Auditor experience
  • Knowledge of the health and/or human services sector.
