Quality, Safety and Risk Manager - Hunter and Western Region NSW

About the Role:

The Quality Safety and Risk (QSR) Manager provides leadership support to the core business and the service delivery of the organisation.

As part of the Quality, Safety and Risk (QSR) team the role of Quality Manager works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that HammondCare services have a focus on improvement of care, service and staff safety. This role is based in Bathurst, Mudgee or Waratah.

Our QSR Managers work closely with the QSR Head of Region to ensure that our services are aligned with HammondCare’s philosophy and models of care. The role supports the achievement of our service goals and aims.

This role is crucial to ensure HammondCare is meeting the requirements set by external regulatory reviews and undertake investigation, reviews and audits as scheduled or triggered by changes in service delivery or as requested by the QSR Head of Region.

In this role you will:

Support the business in understanding the effectiveness of the operations of services provided and ensure all undertakings are aligned with our Mission and Mission in Action.

Build trust and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, providing an environment of encouragement to your team to escalate concerns.

A willingness to work collaboratively with QSR team on innovation and improvement.

Other responsibilities include, undertaking investigation, reviews and audits as scheduled or triggered by changes in service delivery or as requested by the QSR Head of Region and ensuring that the quality schedule is maintained, and concerns are escalated.

About you: (selection criteria)

Are you looking for a role where you can utilise your experience in Aged Care or Health, continuous improvement, quality management, quality standards and processes?

This role would be suitable for a candidate with experience managing high-performing teams using strong interpersonal and communication skills, negotiation, customer and solution focused skills.

This role will involve travel to various sites on a regular basis and will be autonomous and collaborative depending on the work required.

This would be benefited by:

  • A relevant health or care related tertiary qualification with leadership experience.
  • Experience working in or supporting a community based service model.
  • Experience and interest in supporting a continuous improvement culture.
  • Experienced in operating effectively in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience.
