This national NFP healthcare organisation provides hospital health care along with home care and disability services. Due to a retirement, they are currently seeking a Nurse Unit Manager with experience in rehabilitation to manage an inpatient rehabilitation ward.

Your new role

Reporting to the Director of Nursing & Patient Experience, you will be responsible for the management of a 24 bed rehabilitation ward. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Clinical and administrative leadership of approx. 30 care givers.
• Supervise and manage ward activities, building effective relationships with key medical practitioners.
• Manage day to day operational activities and clinical standards of practice.
• Monitor, maintain and develop standards of professional nursing practice.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed, you will have experience in a senior or managerial position in rehabilitation. You will also have:

• Registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Post graduation qualification in relevant speciality or progression towards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and build effective nursing, medical and interdisciplinary relationships and teams.
• Well developed leadership and communication skills.
• A can-do and positive attitude.
