Guthrie House is a not-for-profit transitional service that supports women 18 years and older and their children. The women that we work with have a history of alcohol and other drug misuse and current involvement in the criminal justice system. They are homeless or at high risk of homelessness.
We operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day in a residential setting providing case management and drug and alcohol support. Over 50% of our clients per annum are First Nations Women.
Guthrie House requires Casual Residential Support Worker to undertake a diverse range of duties. The salary is per the SCHCADS Award 2010 - Level 3, pay point dependant of experience.
The position is based at Enmore NSW.
We are looking to employ female Residential Support Workers for our casual pool. You will provide a range of supports and assistance to the residents of Guthrie House. This includes but is not limited to supporting clients to engage in our residential program, mentoring, casework support, assisting residents to develop the living skills required for community living and complete administrative tasks.
The requirement to be a woman is a genuine occupational qualification pursuant to S31(2)(H) of the Anti-Discrimination Act NSW (1997).
