Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative is a not for profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) providing culturally attuned, integrated health and community services in Warrnambool and regional South West Victoria.  

About the role

Working within a small clinical mental health care team that integrates with non-clinical staff and provides wrap around services to clients you will respond to the needs of Aboriginal people facing significant disadvantage such as homelessness, dual disability and dual diagnosis. Provision of clinical interventions focusing on clients’ life impairments, as a result of high levels of psychological distress or illness. Hours negotiable. APSS Award – above award rates.

  • Commitment to improving the overall health of Aboriginal families
  • Ability to work in culturally appropriate ways
  • Ability to integrate mental health within the social, emotional and cultural wellbeing of the Aboriginal community
  • AHPRA registration
