Guide Dogs change lives. It is the independence and freedom offered by these dogs to our clients that keeps us going. Guide Dogs WA provides life changing Guide Dogs, Autism Assistance Dogs and Therapy Dogs for a school, hospital or therapy setting.
We have a long and proud history of providing services for people with disabilities, enabling them to do the things they love and live the life they want. We have two key areas that we specialise in, services for people with no or low vision, and children across the whole broad spectrum of disabilities. Today, we have over 160 staff and over 300 volunteers connecting, inspiring and supporting adults, children and families across Western Australia and Tasmania. Our family of brands encompasses Guide Dogs WA/TAS, Kites Children’s Therapy, Perron Place and our vision only brand VisAbility.
We are forging our own path in establishing a World Class Breeding Program to ensure a reliable and quality supply of Guide and Assistance Dogs. We are seeking an qualified or experienced Puppy Whelper to bring expertise and facilitate a range of functions which will bring this program to life. Are you up to the task?
This exciting new role will coordinate and execute a range of day to day activities to support the home whelping function of Guide Dogs WA. Contributing to key functions for the Breeding Program to ensure the safe delivery, welfare and quality of puppies, some key responsibilities of this role include:

Salary Range: $67,754 to $82,820 (exclusive of superannuation). View our current Enterprise Agreement to find more information about salary levels and employment terms and conditions.
Basis of Employment: This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent position.
