Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is the leading Australian provider of Guide Dogs and orientation and mobility services for people with sight loss. We are a trusted, long-standing and well recognised charity. Fundraising is essential to the work of Guide Dogs, as we are largely funded by community donations.

About the position:

The Engagement Specialist Projects (Gifts in Wills) position is responsible for developing, coordinating and managing journeys for supporters who may be interested in or who have identified that they are interested in learning more about including Guide Dogs NSW/ACT in their Will, through to confirmation. This position holds accountability for ensuring that plans are implemented and outcomes are achieved through the multichannel bequestor journey which encompasses events, telemarketing, mail, SMS, email and social media. You will also be a key spokesperson at events.

Other accountabilities include regularly monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the journey pipeline and conversions; expenditure monitoring and evaluating return on investment; working together with other fundraising and marketing professionals to harness engagement and opportunities; and developing team members.

The successful candidate will be a passionate and experienced Gift in Wills fundraising and/or supporter engagement professional, with at least 2 years’ experience and with proven success in delivering engagement and conversion strategies; be a warm and engaging presenter; be a team player, and dynamic self-starter with program management and project management experience; have strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders; possess a positive attitude, be outcomes driven with the desire to exceed expectations and continually improve established processes; and ideally you will possess a tertiary degree in marketing, communications or similar, and have completed the FIA Code of Conduct.

This position does involve travel, as our events are delivered across NSW and the ACT. This opportunity may suit someone looking to step up and manage a small team (1 direct report).
