Grow is a community mental health organisation whose aim is to help people overcome personal challenges related to mental illness through a peer lead, structured, mutual help program within a caring and sharing community. This exciting role will be to facilitate and develop mutual self-help groups and provide information and education to the broader community about the challenges facing people with mental ill-health.

About the role

The Fieldworker role will be to support the mutual help groups and provide information to the wider community about Grow programs.

Primary functions include:

  • Supporting and developing the quality of existing Grow Groups
  • Developing opportunities to establish new Grow Groups
  • Undertake outreach to promote local Grow Groups and Get Growing programs
  • Nurture leadership of members and volunteers and encourage the ongoing growth of the Grow’s Caring and Sharing Community

About you

The successful applicant will need to identify with Grow’s philosophy, be self-motivated, flexible, energetic, team-spirited, and open to ongoing training.

A relevant qualification in Community and Human Services or the Social Sciences field is recommended for an applicant. You will need to hold a current NT driver’s licence and have current criminal history notice (within three months) or the ability to obtain one before the commencement of the position.

Salary and benefits

This is a part-time position with flexible work hours.
