Content Producer

Greenpeace Australia Pacific

GREENPEACE

Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organisation, which uses peaceful, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems, and develop solutions for a green and peaceful future.

THE TEAM

The Creative Team is made up of the Creative Lead, Creative Producer, and Content Producer and sits within the Creative and Technology Department at Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), alongside colleagues in engineering, insights and user experience (UX).

The primary goal of GPAP is to bring down the power of the fossil fuel order over our democracy and within our region to enable climate action at the necessary speed and scale; this team's job is to produce creative projects that fulfil this goal. Whether it's stopping a huge new dangerous coal mine, taking the fight of the Pacific to the world's biggest stages, or pushing huge corporations to ditch coal, you'll be working on campaigns we believe will make the world safer and more just.

THE ROLE

GPAP is looking for a Content Producer to join our wonderful Creative Team on a 12-month contract basis.

The Content Producer drives a consistent drumbeat of storytelling through the creation of content for social, email and web activity. Working with campaigners and fundraisers across the organisation, this role will create, produce and curate photo, video, design and multimedia to engage supporters in our brand and campaigns. This role will take our owned, in-house content production to new levels as we inspire supporters to act for a green and peaceful future by telling the Greenpeace story through innovative and audience-centric content.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re looking for someone with a clear creative vision, who can design inspiring and impactful multimedia content to help us win campaigns, fundraise and build our brand. You’ll have strong skills in photo and video production, graphic design, and short-form copywriting, with great attention to detail, and the ability to train and up-skill relevant staff. You’ll have an interest in staying up-to-date with social trends and are motivated to create content that’s informed by data-led insights.

As this is a dynamic role with multiple projects on the go at the same time, you’ll also have terrific project management skills, and be confident in managing your own workflow. You should also relish in solving problems creatively and be driven by a passion/connection to the Greenpeace mission. Experience working in a similar role, and/or in a campaigning organisation, are a huge plus.

You’ll also have:

  • Demonstrated ability to create rich and impactful storytelling products;
  • The ability to multitask, with exceptional self-organisation and administration skills;
  • Knowledge of standard technology systems including Google Suite and Slack as well as creative production tools including Adobe suite and Canva;
  • Wonderful relationship building skills, with the ability to form trust and relationships effectively;
  • The ability to thrive in fast paced, and time pressure environments; and
  • A respect for and willingness to learn about the different cultures, languages and customs of target audiences in the Australia Pacific region.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • The opportunity to be part of strategic, creative, and effective campaigns and projects that make real change in the world;
  • The chance to be embedded in the climate justice movement at one of the most well-known global organisations, in a meaningful, impactful and purpose-driven way;
  • Join our multidisciplinary Creative and Technology department, with access to insights, technology and creative expertise, and the opportunity to connect with our networks across the world;
  • The opportunity to create content end to end; from concept, creation, and optimisation to post analysis;
  • An organisation that values our teams’ wellbeing, committed to providing a safe work environment and offers genuine flexible working conditions including remote work from home; and
  • A culture that celebrates inclusivity and diversity.

Salary $72,111.39 per annum + Superannuation.

Open to applicants Australia wide, with a preference for Sydney or Melbourne for the opportunity to join in-person staff workshops, meetings, get-togethers and creative confrontation activities.
