We are the environmental enterprise that thinks bigger than the environment. We started conserving and restoring Australia's landscapes in 1982 and we haven't stopped since. At Greening Australia, we work on major programs that bring life to landscapes and restore balance to the natural environment in significant areas across Australia. Through our major programs, we demonstrate conservation on a massive scale, covering millions of hectares of land and protecting thousands of native species.
In 2018 we set our 2030 vision and impact goals which include the aim to plant half a billion trees by 2030. Proudly rooted in 38 years of history as a national not-for-profit, in 2019, Greening Australia took a new direction re-framing our brand as an environmental enterprise, a critical step in meeting our 2030 goals.
To achieve this we are on a growth trajectory to amplify our brand. Over recent years we have partnered with major brands such as Officeworks, Virgin Australia and Sukin Skincare, and this year worked with Triple J radio as their charity partner for the Hottest100 countdown listened to by over 34% of Australians.
As we continue on this journey as an enterprise, the Marketing and Communications Manager role is required to help drive forward our strategic approach to reach our defined target audiences and achieve our 2030 goals.
This role will support the Director of Marketing and Communications to implement and drive forward the new strategic content plan, lead the development of key partner (including corporate) communications plans, implement new ways of working across the organisation, be a contact point for our PR agency and mentor colleagues within the team.
As a fast-paced and agile enterprise, the right person will have the experience and confidence to lead projects, take the initiative to work pro-actively across the organisation but still enjoy getting hands-on with projects to help solve great environmental challenges, demonstrate proof of impact and produce inspirational stories.
As part of a small team this may involve; content development for our target audiences and key projects; overseeing major campaigns; delivering plans for corporate brand partnerships, and; delivering on broader business objectives.
This role will be fast-paced, have lots of variety, and will involve engaging with a range of stakeholders, so bringing your 'can do' attitude is essential to our success. You'll need:
