The role

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic junior team member with a positive attitude, ideally with experience or qualification in environmental science or agricultural studies to join our expanding stakeholder team, responsible for the development and registration of Emissions Reduction Fund projects.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • The role will involve establishing and maintaining effective and productive working relationships with landholders, pastoralists, the Clean Energy Regulator, and other key stakeholders across the business
  • The role will involve analysis of potential projects against eligibility criteria for a number of Emissions Reduction Fund Methods
  • The role will involve the management of the Eligible Offsets Project application process, including liaising with landholders, Business Originators and the Clean Energy Regulator to collect and organise all the information required to successfully register an ERF project
  • The role is responsible for the collection, analysis and collation of project evidentiary requirements and drafting components of Offsets Reports
  • The role will involve occasional travel (when restrictions allow) to attend landholder induction meetings, and represent GreenCollar at community engagement workshops, conferences, and other events sponsored by or involving GreenCollar and assist in the planning for such events
  • Other duties will include drafting Project Development Agreements and associated legal documents for review by the Legal team
  • Assisting with miscellaneous administration tasks as directed National Stakeholder Manager
  • The role reports directly to the National Stakeholder Manager who will provide support, training and mentoring as needed

Candidate qualities:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate and communicate relevant technical information in the manner best suited to specific stakeholders, clients and landholders
  • Excellent work management skills, including time management, the ability to work; autonomously, and to provide regular and proactive updates to your line manager as needed
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and the ability to maintain accuracy with limited supervision
  • Initiative – the role will require the candidate to problem solve and find solutions to a range of project specific obstacles
  • Eagerness to work within a fast-paced, developing industry, and the ability to manage workload while simultaneously working on a range of projects
  • Capacity and enthusiasm for working as part of a collaborative team, involving frequent cross department problem solving and contribution to shared goals

Minimum requirements / Selection Criteria:

  1. Tertiary education in Environmental Science, Climate Change or Agriculture Studies or relevant industry experience
  2. Sound I.T competency, including experience with Microsoft Office Word & Excel, Google Suite, Apple operating systems. Additional systems used include Smartsheets, CRM systems, Microsoft Power BI.
  3. Demonstrated communication skills across various sectors of the community
  4. Positive attitude, with an eagerness to contribute to the development of GreenCollar’s expanding portfolio of project across the country
  5. Ability and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced environment with high productivity
  6. Demonstrated attention to detail and organisation skills
