Head of Marketing and Fundraising

Gotcha4Life

THE ROLE:

If you are looking for an organisation that has grown quickly and has great support and opportunities but is still relatively early in its maturity, this may be the role for you. We have big ambitions and a great start but need a wise head and experience to guide this critical function.

This new role will have high levels of autonomy, the support of mature and experienced functional peers, and an experienced team of hands-on direct reports made up of staff and freelance specialists. We are looking for someone who has the experience in both functional components (marketing and fundraising) to set the strategic direction for the functions and then work on balancing immediate priorities whilst also setting the function up for the future.

Whilst we have recently invested in our brand, website and CRM, there is a strong feeling of blank slate about the role. We are currently in the fortunate position that we are more often selecting from opportunities offered to us, rather than having to go and find them.

All staff attend the Manly office on two set days per week and then have the option of working from home or in the office for the other days. We also apply highly flexible working arrangements that allow for the realities of modern life, parenting and personal interests.

Please see the attached job description for more details.

THE ORGANISATION:

Our vision is zero suicides and our approach to achieving this is to deliver preventative focused mental health programs to a wide range of Australians across all states and territories.

These programs are made up of presentations, workshops and training sessions and are delivered to schools, community groups, clubs and corporates. We deliver part of the integrated program ourselves and have long term, deep partnerships with a small number of other organisations who deliver the other components on our behalf.

We delivered programs to 60,000 people in the last year. We aim to ensure that every Australian has the skills and tools they need to be able to speak in a meaningful, vulnerable and 'life saving' way to those that they love when times get tough. Our motto of 'No one should have to worry alone' sums it up.

We are funded through a combination of community fundraising, corporate philanthropy and, increasingly, social enterprise - whereby we deliver programs that are procured from us by private sector or government entities.
