Good Thing is a non-for-profit start up, with a mission to showcase the where and the how of sustainable consumption in fashion and homewares. Our pop-up store, will operate from 26 March to 24 April in Collins Place, Melbourne and will feature sustainable clothing and household items alongside workshops and hands-on experiences that will ignite discussion about how our consumption impacts people, our environment and the global community.

We are a small but passionate team and are seeking volunteer retail staff for the four weeks of trading. If you love fashion and want it to be good, we would love to offer you the opportunity to join our network and gain valuable work experience and connections.

The store will be open 10am-7.00pm, Monday to Saturday. Main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Customer service
  • Assisting in visual merchandising
  • Stock management and sorting
  • Working alongside other volunteers
  • Working under store manager guidance

Retail experience preferable but not essential- we would love a team that is as passionate about sustainable fashion as we are!

Successful applicants will need to be available to attend an induction session on Wednesday 25 March. Time to be confirmed.
