Financial Independence Hub

The concept for the hub was developed in 2019 as part of The Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s Domestic and Financial Abuse Strategy. The aim of the hub is to support the achievement of personal financial goals and financial independence for people in Australia who have been affected by financial abuse as a result of domestic and family violence (DFV).

About the role

  • Lead an exciting, new, innovating community financial hub
  • $95,124 per annum + super, salary packaging available
  • Full-time, part-time applications may be negotiable

In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for overseeing a multidisciplinary team of Senior Practitioners, Financial Coaches and Relationship Coordinators providing a broad range of financial coaching services for people affected by financial abuse. Participants will be in the post crisis or recovery stage, and so it is important that services are orientated towards helping people to rebuild and focus on their future financial goals.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the provision of financial coaching at your hub location or region
  • Providing context of a participant’s needs to financial counsellors and other specialist financial service providers that may be called upon to support the implementation of a participant’s roadmap
  • Attending meetings between participants and financial specialists as required
  • Assisting participants develop and implement their personal financial roadmap
  • Ensuring the well-being and success of your team
  • Providing insights and recommendations to the Program Manager for continuous improvement, assist with evaluation and reporting

About you:

You will have significant experience leading dynamic teams and managing large community programs, demonstrated experience in assessing, mitigating and managing risks; providing high quality people leadership and have highly developed interpersonal skills to enable excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement. You will be highly autonomous, organised and an excellent communicator.
