About the role

  • Provide genuine, meaningful and impactful support to sole traders/small businesses impacted by Covid
  • Utilise your understanding of small business to help other business owners
  • Full time (part time applications may be considered, please indicate your preference in your application)
  • Fixed term
  • Salisbury location, some state wide travel may required, expenses will be covered by Good Shepherd

Are you an experienced Small Business operator? Do you have experience coaching and mentoring small businesses? Good Shepherd has created a new support service dedicated to the newly vulnerable sole traders and small businesses impacted by the Coronavirus.

This role is largely phone based but from time to time you will provide in person support to your clients. The role exists to provide information, linkages and referrals to support small businesses, e.g. grants, business advisory, mentoring services.

Experience managing small business/small business coaching is essential. As is enthusiasm and readiness to work in a brand new service, with an organisation passionate about making a real difference.

About you

  • Able to understand a person's current situation and immediate to longer term needs
  • Empathetic and able to understand someone’s small business journey
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a respected team player
  • A satisfactory National Police Check
  • A satisfactory International Police Check (if you have resided outside of Australia within the last 5 years)
  • A current Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or state equivalent
