We seek to increase economic participation and wellbeing, to build resilience, improve safety and bring about system change. We offer microfinance programs and products, financial counselling and coaching, family violence support, parenting programs and playgroups, education programs and community houses. These services are complemented by research and advocacy to address the underlying structural causes of injustice, exclusion, and inequality.
Launched in 2016, the Financial Inclusion Action Plan (FIAP) program was a call to action – inviting all sectors to play their part in creating a more financially inclusive society. There are currently 40 FIAP member organisations representing a broad range of sectors from financial services, to utilities, social services, government, education, and legal services amongst others. The core of the program is a Financial Inclusion Action Plan (FIAP) which is a public commitment made by each organisation to take strategic and practical actions that can improve the financial wellbeing for its customers, employees, business, and community.
Good Shepherd has been funded by the South Australian Department of Human Services (DHS) to develop a place-based Financial Inclusion Action Plan in Northern Adelaide.
The Project Facilitator will lead the place-based FIAP project in Northern Adelaide. You will be working closely with stakeholders from across all sectors to form a coalition of organisations committed to taking action to enhance community resilience with the lens of financial inclusion and wellbeing.
The Project Facilitator will be responsible for:
You will be an experienced project facilitator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, an intimate understanding of the Northern Adelaide area (especially Salisbury and Playford) and a strong understanding of financial inclusion, financial resilience and economic participation. You will have the ability to work independently and in collaboration with both the state and national Good Shepherd teams in a virtual environment.
