A unique opportunity to support financial capability development for economic empowerment initiatives as part of Good Return’s Field Support Officer (FSO) Volunteer Program.

In this role you will:

  • Gain valuable experience living and working in a multicultural environment as part of a professional team and making a difference
  • Support one of the Good Return partner’s microfinance institutions for financial literacy and social inclusion program
  • Assist with the implementation of Good Return and partner objectives and specific programs
  • Research and identify funding opportunities and support proposal writing

You will possess:

  • A degree in Economics, Finance/Business, Statistics, International Development, Education or similar. Preferably with a post graduate degree in one of these listed areas
  • At least 1 year of work experience (paid or unpaid) relevant to Good Return’s program areas, such as international development, finance/banking or adult education
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report and proposal writing, and ability to adapt communication style for various stakeholders
  • Interest and passion for social inclusion, particularly gender and disability inclusion
  • Cross cultural sensitivity, adaptability, open mindedness, independence, and resilience

Good Return will provide international airfares at the commencement and conclusion of the assignment, medical costs, visa expenses, insurance and a monthly living allowance (including accommodation costs).

Eligibility:

You must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency to apply for this position. Applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered.

Additional Information: The role will commence in early July 2020. Applicants must be available for a 4-day induction course in May 2020, prior to their placement, at Good Return’s Sydney office. Later commencement dates and/or periods of less than 12 months will not be considered.
