A unique opportunity to support financial capability development for economic empowerment initiatives as part of Good Return’s Field Support Officer (FSO) Volunteer Program.
In this role you will:
- Gain valuable experience living and working in a multicultural environment as part of a professional team and making a difference
- Support one of the Good Return partner’s microfinance institutions for financial literacy and social inclusion program
- Assist with the implementation of Good Return and partner objectives and specific programs
- Research and identify funding opportunities and support proposal writing
You will possess:
- A degree in Economics, Finance/Business, Statistics, International Development, Education or similar. Preferably with a post graduate degree in one of these listed areas
- At least 1 year of work experience (paid or unpaid) relevant to Good Return’s program areas, such as international development, finance/banking or adult education
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report and proposal writing, and ability to adapt communication style for various stakeholders
- Interest and passion for social inclusion, particularly gender and disability inclusion
- Cross cultural sensitivity, adaptability, open mindedness, independence, and resilience
Good Return will provide international airfares at the commencement and conclusion of the assignment, medical costs, visa expenses, insurance and a monthly living allowance (including accommodation costs).

You must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency to apply for this position. Applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered.
Additional Information: The role will commence in early July 2020. Applicants must be available for a 4-day induction course in May 2020, prior to their placement, at Good Return’s Sydney office. Later commencement dates and/or periods of less than 12 months will not be considered.
