Good Neighbours is an international development NGO founded in 1991 for the purpose of reducing poverty in the most disadvantaged communities. Good Neighbours implements projects to protect child rights, strengthen global partnerships, and advocate for the rights of the most vulnerable across the globe.

We’ve been operating in Australia since 2018 and are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We work with governments, corporates, community leaders and children such as Multicultural NSW as well as communities in Vietnam, Cambodia and Mozambique.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for creating compelling and creative clinical and corporate communications content, to increase awareness of and engagement with Good Neighbours‘s values and brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Support the development of communications and fundraising strategies.
  • Play a key role in creating and delivering key messaging
  • Lead on writing a range of communications pieces for various platforms including media releases and for print
  • Lead on all Good Neighbours web content, in order to drive web visitation and increase engagement with the Good Neighbours brand including: creative blogs featuring; fact sheets and guidelines providing informative resources; editorial pieces linked with marketing; Live project stories on Social Media platforms
  • Take ownership of all Social Media channels
  • Take ownership of all e-newsletters and eDMs

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Expertise in copywriting across all platforms, and creating outstanding communications, copy and content for digital platforms and for print, delivering on reach and engagement KPIs
  • Experience of applying digital marketing data and principles (such as SEO and Google Analytics) to deliver content linked with KPIs
  • Highly developed skills in management platforms (such as Wordpress, Mailchimp, Canva) including publishing web updates and creating e-newsletters and other eDMs
  • Demonstrable results in utilising creativity to create new content pillars which generate new audiences
  • Experience filming and editing video and other on/offline content to reach targeted new communities, and further engage existing audiences

THE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • National Police Check and Working With Children check
  • A tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, or marketing, and two or more years experience working in a not-for-profit or content role.
