Community Electric Vehicle Sales Coordinator

Position Overview

Coordinate and deliver electric vehicle Community Bulk-Buys in collaboration with Community Partners across Australia by providing high-quality customer experience including strategic planning and community mapping, organising engaging events and nurturing customers through the Bulk-Buy. The role will also coordinate customer communications via Monday, Hubspot and Google-Suite along with capturing stories to generate media and social media content.

About the Good Car Company

The Good Car Company is a Tasmanian-based electric vehicle company that exists to decarbonise transport.  We do this by providing affordable electric vehicles for direct purchase via our website or through our Community Bulk-Buy partnerships. In December 2019 we delivered Australia’s first Bulk-Buy in South Hobart and we are now delivering Bulk-Buys in four different states. As we grow we are looking for passionate people to join us.

Position Description

The Community EV Sales Coordinator is an 8-month contract to deliver our Electric Vehicle Bulk-Buy 2021 Strategy which calls for four or five bulk-buys through-out Australia. This position will primarily focus on EV sales through a community partnership lens and incorporate the following:

  • Campaign coordination (liaise with stakeholders, grow Bulk-Buy participants numbers and increase EV awareness)
  • Drive sales and nurture Bulk-Buy participants for the sales conversation
  • Community Partner Mapping (identifying leaders, champions and key stakeholders)
  • Event hosting
  • Content creation for web and socials
  • Facilitate Test Drives
  • Track budgets, targets and report on each Bulk-Buy to support our internal data-driven decision-making processes
  • Manage workflow through Monday.com and Hubspot CRM.

Performance Goals

Deliverables are the things that are required to be successfully completed as part of the role.

  • Deliver the Community Bulk-Buy always aiming to exceed car sale targets. 

Sales Targets

Sydney  = 30 vehicles

Geelong/Victoria = 30 vehicles

South Australia = 30 vehicles

Tasmania = 30 vehicles

Selection Criteria

Key selection criteria are the skills, attributes, knowledge and qualifications that the employer has defined as being essential for satisfying the requirements of the job.

The successful applicant will have experience in:

  • Delivering time-sensitive marketing or outreach campaigns
  • Liaising with or working with community or grassroots organisations
  • Developing and documenting processes and procedures
  • Developing and managing project schedules 

Skills

  • Great time management
  • Ability to focus and prioritise
  • Good computing skills (ie Monday.com, G-Suite, Hubspot CRM, Canva)
  • Ability to connect with people
  • Great written language skills
  • Preferably an eye for design

Training

If you can do these things it doesn't worry us what formal training you have. 

Reporting

This position reports to Anton Vikstrom, Co-Founder and General Manager.

Hours and Pay as an Independent Contractor

Location:  This position is based in Hobart with mainland travel, though if you on the mainland now, you may to convince us that you do not need to be in Tasmania.

Contract duration: 8-months, with the goal of extending the program into 2022.

Hours: The contract is based on a hourly rate to deliver Community Bulk-Buys. At GoodCar.co we work on a flexi-four-day week, with the understanding that evening zoom session and events require us to be flexible with our time.

Remuneration: $35 per hour, noting this is an independent contractor position and no superannuation is payable.

Commencement: It is expected that the contract will commence ASAP ;)
