Ngaimpe Aboriginal Corporation operates The Glen centres – a 35-bed residential rehabilitation centre for men and a 20-bed facility for women. The Glen’s award-winning program are designed to treat a client in a holistic manner. This means treating the person as a whole (spiritually, mentally, culturally and physically). It also means trying to not just treat their addiction but the things that may be causing the addictive behaviours.

About the role – Receptionist & Data Entry 

The receptionist is the first point of contact to The Glen. This includes answering the phone and providing information to people applying to the Program. The receptionist is also responsible for entering online applications (received via email) into The Glen’s client management system. 

In summary, your role will require: 

  • Answering phone calls and re-directing them to other staff members
  • Respond to basic enquiries
  • Check voicemails and return calls (or re-direct to other staff members)
  • Enter application data into client management system 

We are seeking someone who has strong phone communication experience, data entry skills, basic understanding of drug and alcohol related issues, and is comfortable with using technology. This includes Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and clinical management system. 

Applicants must be available for an interview on Thursday 21st July 2022. 

Minimum requirements: 

  • Strong administrative, phone and computer skills. 
  • Experience in data entry 
  • Above average typing speed 
  • Basic understanding of Drug and Alcohol Addiction (but not essential) 
  • Ability to follow organisational policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to work with Aboriginal people. 
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. 
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

The job: 

The successful applicants will be offered the following employment options: 

  • Permanent full-time position (5 days per week, 8am to 4pm). 

The successful applicant will be entitled to salary sacrifice a portion of the income. 

The pay rate is $50-$60k per year.
