GIVIT is experiencing enormous growth, connecting thousands of donors with people in need. The Financial Controller/Company Secretary role is critical to our success and as such we are looking for a qualified and skilled finance leader to oversee GIVIT’s financial operations, governance and compliance.

The Financial Controller/Company Secretary will play a critical leadership role for the organisation - providing strategic and expert financial advice as well as being people-focused and hands-on leading a team going through change. They will be a key member of GIVIT’s Executive Leadership Team, report to the CEO, and help drive our strategy and performance to support our purpose to match generosity with real need.

The Financial Controller leads the accounts, payroll, administration and purchasing teams overseeing all transactional roles ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and completeness of all financial data. The role is driven to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all financial and business processes and practices to further increase GIVIT’s impact in the community. The candidate must also be able to roll up their sleeves, when needed, to support critical operational activity.

Candidate requirements

• NFP industry experience preferred
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role
• MYOB experience preferred
