Gippsland Disability Advocacy is a community-based disability advocacy organisation covering the Gippsland region. Our mission is to advocate, promote, and be responsive to the welfare, rights and interests of people with disabilities, and to build a more inclusive community. Our vision is that through advocacy, people with disabilities are empowered to exercise their rights.
As a result of new funding, an opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and self-disciplined person for the following position located in Traralgon covering the Gippsland region.
Disability Royal Commission – Project Worker (22.5 hours a week – Fixed Term period ending June 30th, 2022).
In undertaking this position, you will deliver individual advocacy support to people affected by the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability including working within community development principals to inform people about the Disability Royal Commission, helping people understand the purpose of the Disability Royal Commission and helping people determine if they want to participate in the Disability Royal Commission.
