GetUp is looking for a Content Producer to generate innovative digital content including video, graphic design, and written creative products.

SCHADS Classification Level 4 - 5 salary range is $71,183.00 - 84,483.51 per annum (pro-rata) + superannuation, determined by relevant experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time 12 month fixed-term contract ideally based in Sydney. However, we are open to flexible arrangements for the right candidate.

Who is the Creative Team

GetUp’s Creative Team is a small, high performance team of designers, video producers, editors and digital experts. Creative staff support our campaigns with innovative creative content including producing TV and digital video projects, crafting cut-through design products, and sharing stories that rally our progressive base.

As a content producer at GetUp, you will be responsible for:

  • Producing high quality creative campaign and brand collateral
  • Executing the production of creative and brand collateral
  • Working with campaigners to generate creative content ideas and innovate new ways to incorporate them into campaigns
  • Developing, managing & moderating social media content
  • Participating in a strong team culture of experimentation, innovation, evaluation and learning
  • Working within the creative team to execute its strategy and meet its goals
  • Supervising other staff and/or volunteers as required

You will be someone who is:

  • Passionate about growing and strengthening a movement of everyday people committed to creating change on a range of hot button issues
  • A whiz in Adobe Suite software including Premier, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Has demonstrated experience in graphic design and/or a willingness to develop these skills quickly
  • Can drive the end-to-end creation of quality video content that speaks to diverse audiences across a range of platforms, including field producing, filming, and editing
  • Has excellent writing skills to draft up a punchy script or text-based product – and then make it a reality
  • Can interpret and execute a brief under pressure, quickly sourcing and shooting footage as required
  • A creative, innovative and collaborative worker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle attention to detail across competing projects on any given day
  • Loves the internet – the kind of person who can identify new trends, content opportunities, and is excited to optimise content for key audiences
  • Is a team player who is always endeavouring to be a positive force within an inclusive workplace environment and takes the initiative going above and beyond to get the job done
  • Has at least three years professional experience working in a production role

Bonus points for:

  • Photography skills
  • Experience managing and tailoring content for social media platforms
  • Experience in GetUp-style online campaigning
  • Being a politics nerd
  • Experience working in the media
