General Terms and Conditions

  • Position reports to: Operations Lead
  • Position type: Casual
  • Location: North Melbourne, Victoria
  • Hours: 15 – 20 hours per week, subject to operational demands. Shifts typically run from 9:00am - 4:00pm with a 30 min unpaid meal break.
  • Wage: $25.51 per hour as per: Vehicle Repair Services and Retail Award 2020 [MA000089], RS&R Employee - Level 2, Casual.

Core Duties

Team Members are responsible for the day to day implementation of our services for major car share clients in Melbourne. Your usual day will involve:

  • Riding an electrically-assisted bicycle to on-street locations to perform interior and exterior cleans on car share vehicles.
  • Communicating with your Operations Leads and responding quickly to live requests
  • Using operations software to locate and clean assigned cars
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment by following safe work practices and procedures
  • Engaging with and responding professionally to the public on street
  • Ensuring all equipment and vehicles are treated appropriately and take care of, while digitally documenting any damage to equipment and vehicles
  • Other duties as required

As a part of a high-growth social enterprise, you will be joining a dedicated and expanding Operations team. As such, we expect there to be development and progression opportunities for the right candidate.

Skills and Experience

  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • High motivation to complete work on time and well
  • Experience working to tight deadlines and able to take direction
  • Able to ride an electrically-assisted bike for extended distances in busy on-road urban environments
  • Ability to work autonomously at high efficiency
  • High familiarity with using smartphones/technology
  • Flexibility to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Good navigational ability
  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
  • A commitment to supporting young people live their best lives
  • Australian Drivers Licence (preferred but not necessary)
  • Some cleaning experience or practical knowledge of working outside (highly regarded but not necessary)
