Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Communications Manager to join their team on the Gold Coast on a full-time basis to 30 June 2023.

Attractive remuneration package circa $112,200 -$120,400 plus super and salary sacrifice options.

This position will lead the vision and mission of GCPHN by supporting and implementing effective strategies to provide high level communications, media, marketing and engagement activities to support corporate and project objectives and other public health initiatives.

More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Lead the development of the company’s strategic engagement and communications strategy and implementation plan to support achievement of the GCPHN’s Strategic Plan.
  • Work with the senior leadership to plan, schedule and align communications resources and activities to strategic priorities, forging strong connections across the organisation and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Lead continuous service improvement, performance measures and reviews of all communications and engagement activities.
  • Lead the development of a variety of communications strategies and creative solutions for distribution via traditional and digital channels, working towards innovative and effective multichannel communications campaigns with appropriate benchmarks and performance outcomes.
  • Proactively develop style guides, key messages, policies and procedures to effectively coordinate and deliver communication activities at a strategic and operational level.
  • Provide professional leadership, planning and coordination of marketing and promotional activities including the development of key strategies, advertising, community and stakeholder engagement and media to promote and implement activities and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate effective stakeholder engagement events across the IAP2 engagement spectrum (inform to collaborate) for the GCPHN.

GCPHN is looking for an experienced Communications Manager with demonstrated experience leading, developing, managing and motivating a high performing communications and engagement team through clearly defined role expectations, monitoring performance, providing timely and constructive feedback and facilitating employee development, ensuring staff are effectively deployed through effective workforce planning practices.

You will possess relevant qualifications in managing communications, marketing or relevant discipline and/or substantive (minimum of five years) demonstrated experience in communications, journalism marketing or public relations. Working within an agile environment, you will have the ability to lead, coach and develop a team and prioritise challenging tasks and projects ensuring effective outcomes are delivered within required timeframes/budget expectations.

You will have demonstrated experience delivering contemporary communications and engagement strategies across multiple channels, including marketing campaigns and promotional activities to achieve strategic outcomes.
