The Great Barrier Reef is a unique icon and an irreplaceable ecosystem. It’s the largest living thing on earth and home to thousands of species of marine life, including six of the world’s seven species of marine turtle.
For over 20 years the Great Barrier Reef Foundation has been the lead charity for the Reef, driving the immediate change needed for the Reef to survive for future generations. Right now, we have over 200 Reef-saving projects with over 300 project delivery partners. We are the action station for the Reef, bringing together people and science to deliver the world’s largest coral reefs program.
Sitting as part of the External Relations team this role reports to the Manager Supporter Services and works as a part of a small team to achieve a shared focus of managing and maintaining an accurate donor database to support the direct mail, regular giving, major gifts, planned giving/ bequest and corporate partnerships program for the Foundation. The role is primarily responsible for donor engagement through gift processing and conducting donor welfare calls.
The role is suited to a highly organised person who thrives when working collaboratively and is experienced in managing a donor database and supporting a fundraising team with administrative assistance.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience;
Strong organisational and time management skills;
Excellent attention to detail;
Good written and verbal communications;
Strong relationship building and negotiation skills;
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals, groups and management;
Raiser’s Edge or donor database experience is highly desirable;
Must be a team-oriented person who understands the dynamic of working with a diverse team to achieve organisation goals.
Ability to interact with the public in a positive manner
Willingness to step outside of role boundaries
The Supporter Services Coordinator reports to the Supporter Services Manager.
Brisbane
The role is part time and will cease in June 2024 - flexible work arrangements are available.
