Our People & Performance team are looking for a highly skilled HR professional to join the team in a newly created Human Resources Business Partner position. The purpose of this role is to provide strategic and operational Human Resources Management and Employment Relations advice, coaching and problem solving to leadership and employees, and to contribute to the design and implementation of workforce capability strategies and People and Performance strategies across Gateways Support Services.

Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Problem solving and developing solutions to workforce needs with managers
  • Create and implement a workforce capability plan including application of consistent work level standards
  • Participate in performance management, disciplinary and investigation processes as required
  • Provide support, advice and coaching to Managers and Supervisors on policy matters related to workforce management including, performance management, industrial matters, resolution of grievances, disciplines and complaints.

A tertiary qualification in Business or Human Resources is preferred. Coaching skills training is ideal.

To be successful in this role you will require a demonstrated high degree of problem-solving capabilities, listening and communication skills and relationship building skills. Strong knowledge of legal, operational risks and applicable legislation and industrial relations instruments in a human services environment is required.

We’re after a HR professional with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships across the organisation and work effectively in team-based approaches.

You will be required to apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check. This check includes a national criminal records check, and will cost you $119.40. The check is valid for 5 years.

Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children check for an employee, a current Level 2 first aid qualification and CPR update. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.

Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
