A key recommendation of the Royal Commission and the Roadmap for Reform was to establish a network of Support and Safety Hubs (The Orange Door). The Orange Door will deliver a fundamental change to the way we work with women, children and families, and men. The Orange Door will bring together different workforces and practices to create an integrated The Orange Door team and a consolidated intake point in each The Orange Door area to create a new way of support.

The Orange Door Team will include a mix of staff employed by local Community Service Organisation's for the Ovens Murray Area together with Family Safety Victoria and DFFH. These organisation's include VACCA, Mungabareena, UMFC, Centre Against Violence (CAV), and Gateway Health all working collaboratively to provide and deliver services for The Orange Door.

About the role

The Advanced Family Violence Practice Leader (Men’s) is responsible for providing practice leadership on risk assessment, risk management and planning for family violence and providing expert advice to the Orange Door workforce in relation to complex family violence cases and perpetrator interventions. The Advanced Family Violence Practice Leader (Men’s) will proactively build specialist evidence-based family violence knowledge and capability across the Orange Door workforce in line with the Orange Door Service Model and Integrated Practice Framework.
