about the business development manager at fry-IT Asia-Pacific

Your primary task will be to build relationships, manage contracts, support and grow our business with prospective and existing customers across the Asia-Pacific region. The role requires excellent communication, coordination and interpersonal skills. With an energetic, hands-on approach, high levels of engagement across internal and external stakeholders, you will build your understanding of our customers, and their user community. The role involves translating customer challenges and requirements into tangible, value-based solutions that are commercially attractive.

This role would suit someone with natural curiosity, who is looking to build their career in business development and get holistic exposure to the sales and marketing process, including communication activities, events, sponsorship coordination, and contract management.

Some out-of-hours meetings are required to liaise with our international colleagues and clients.

The salary range is from $80 - 90K AUD plus superannuation and profit share.

ABOUT your experience and skills

You should have the following experience and skills:

  • At least 3 years’ in a similar business development role.
  • Sales experience up to C-Level stakeholders.
  • Maintenance and progression of sales and customer information/activity within a CRM (Salesforce / Monday.com system or similar experience would be beneficial).
  • Maintenance of P & L information.
  • Organisation and coordination of customer demonstrations.
  • Management of client relationships.
  • Sales opportunity management through to closure and order placement.
  • Input into sales proposals, client analysis and facilitation of responses to bid requirements.
  • Input into marketing messaging, content and direction and promotion activities.
  • Coordination of handover of new customers from Sales to Delivery departments
  • Experience in the Higher/Healthcare Education and / or software sector preferred.

  • Problem-solving skills: Problem-solving skills are essential. You need to be capable of devising commercial, technical and creative solutions.
  • Time management: As a company, we often work at a distance from each other, so excellent time management skills and ability to be a self-starter are key attributes - particularly when working with existing and multiple potential customers.
  • Team collaboration: You will work across sales/marketing, delivery and development teams to resolve customer challenges and provide feedback on them.
